The sibs and I were looking for something different (and cheap) to do, so we ventured out to Centennial Park for the Big Band concert.
I can't convey to you the enormous amount of disdain I held for the radio station WAMB when I was growing up, but now, of course, I, and my sibs, are relishing all things that were my parents- and this music was definitely . . . my parents.
Now, not only is this event held every Saturday night from Spring to Fall, it has been going on for 25 years! There were several hundred people of all ages present and I couldn't help but take some photos.

There were the cute little girls and the cute not-so-little girls.

This last photo was just sitting the camera on a bench and pointing it blindly toward the pavillion, but I like it nonetheless.
Peace . . .

I can still see that clock radio sitting on the table in the living room tuned to that station. I had no idea that there was a concert every year dedicated to Big Band music! I'm sure both your parents were smiling down on all of you. :)
